I was really surprised when turning the vacuum on how well it performed. I would recommend this machine to anyone.
No, not quite, but it sure does a number on dirt!. I've wanted a water filtration vacuum for a long time, and when my Dyson started failing I jumped into researching this type of vacuum and settled on the Prolux CTX. A great move! The amount of dirt I pulled up from the bedroom carpets was too disgusting to post a photo. And that was AFTER vacuuming with the Dyson 2 days prior. The water I dumped out literally was black. After vacuuming the hardwood/tile areas, I used the (inappropriately named) "coil/inflation tool" to clean out the dryer lint filter and pulled up massive amounts of lint with that. Finally! A tool to clean the dryer vent too!
I'm hoping that with use this vac will decrease the amount of dust normally present in the house. I am already breathing a little better at night after one vacuuming. I will be looking at buying the carpet shampooer as well and ditching my old Bissell.
Pros:
~The #1--cleans like nothing else!! The carpet smells better just vacuuming it.
~Easy enough to change out the power nozzle and the hard floor tool when you go between carpet and hard floors.
Cons:
~It's loud. I wore ear protectors and really didn't mind this.
~Takes longer to vacuum the whole house than with the Dyson, due to having to change the water, BUT--boy, does it clean!!
Overall, I highly recommend, and it gets 5 stars. Well-worth the price tag!!
We love our Tritan canister vacuum cleaner and how easy it is to use. We've had it for almost ten years. The HEPA bags are great, too, and fast delivery from Prolux makes it simple.
I have a CTX that I’ve had for a few years. I recently bought another for a house warming gift for friends. They have mostly hard floors so I ordered this separately. I tried it out at their house and it is so much better than the regular hard floor brush. I will be ordering one for myself.
