I wanted a canister vacuum so that my younger children could participate more with chores. Our bagless upright vacuum is too heavy for them to manipulate. I wanted a bagged canister specifically for better capture and disposal of allergens. After months of deliberation, I chose Prolux Tritan. I'm thrilled! I typically use the lowest motor speed. It's sufficient for almost everything, and it's so quiet that you can still hold a conversation or hear the TV in the background without blasting the volume. I like the humor in the user manual, and I appreciate the usability (I can tell that Prolux engineers have real HFE experience!). I like the selection of attachments and how easily I can reach under low furniture with a head that won't suck up toddler socks - revolutionary! Having the attachment options means that I can vacuum blindly under furniture and intentionally choose whether I want to suck up every lost sock and toy or just suck up the dust, dander, and dog fur around the lost socks and toys. I'm surprised that I don't mind that none of the attachments are lighted. With the good suction and variety of attachments, the light becomes optional. Another cool bonus is that my dog is relaxed when I vacuum with the Prolux. She was very anxious around all other vacuums I've used. Did the engineers specifically filter or muffle high frequencies? Not only is my dog more relaxed, but the kids and I are less annoyed by the Prolux noise than other vacs. The rigid vacuum tube has an adjustable length, but the lock is more usable when collapsing than when extending (the latter is a little clumsy). The various lengths are great for different heights of family members, and I can reach pretty far under the TV and coffee table while sitting in the recliner (true story). Although the attractive blue color may not help the vacuum clean better, it's a nice option. If it ever decide to spoil my adult children and buy them a Prolux Tritan, they can have the white (so that I know the difference if they try to steal mine). Besides the clumsy tube extension, my only other critique is that it's hard to store upright against a wall. It tends to fall. If I worked for Prolux R&D, I'd consider improving the placement and design of the attachment clips for the vacuum heads to stabilize upright storage and perhaps make it more compact. My husband told me tonight that he thinks we found our "forever vacuum" (so romantic!).

I purchased a Prolux Tritan some years ago and loved it. When I moved, it somehow went missing. In the meantime, I purchased a few other vacs and was disappointed in all of them - either they smelled bad when in use, the cords were too short, or the cordless ones were so light they didn't clean my floors. So....I purchase the Prolux Tritan again and I can already see a big difference in the amount of dust and dog hair on my floors in just two days! I raved about it so much my neighbor just bought one, too. Try it. You won't be disappointed.
Here are my favorite features: the suction is great and can be adjusted, the tools are easy to use and store on the handle, the vac isn't too heavy and is easy to wheel around, the Hepa filters work - no smell or dust, and it's easy to change them.
Prolux has great customer service, too. So I'm a happy vaccer!!
