This is our second Prolux vacuum. Our first was the 8000 model. We use them both in our ABNB. Both models have great suction and are very durable. They hold up well to heavy use. Other things I like are long power cords and the expandable wand for accessory use. Going from the upright to accessory use is quicker and easier with the 7000 as the receiver for the wand is tapered similar to a funnel so you don’t have to be so exact when putting it back in place. When you use attachments as much as we do, that can affect efficiency. The mini turbo head attachment seems to have much more power and does not bog down when in heavy carpet or upholstery as much as other brands do. The only negative to the 7000 is that you cannot shut the roller off if you are doing hard floors. Not usually a big concern for us. As I said, the vacuums have great suction, but if I had to choose its weakest feature, I would say it would be getting peak suction on hard floors. It doesn’t seem like it self-adjusts for optimum air flow to pick up small loose items. Overall, I would recommend this vacuum!
I have had this vacuum for two months. My Prolux 7000 arrived in a timely manner and was so simple to put together that I was using it within 10 minutes. This vacuum is built sturdy with a metal roller and a stainless-steel bottom plate. The rubber bumpers protect the furniture while the strong LED lights aid in the dark areas of the house and under objects. No having to adjust from carpet to hardwood or vinyl flooring. Just start it up and go. I love that as I vacuum, I can pull the wand while on the move and clean around the baseboards, under the edge of couches and cabinets, and windowsills. I love the special pet nozzle so I can quickly run across the couches and chairs along the way. I can make one pass through the house, and I am done without having to backtrack. The powerful suction cleans all the hair and trash from my carpet with little effort. I have 3 inside cats and Grand kids that run in and out all day - they are no match for the performance of the 7000. I have seen on some reviews that others have had issues with trash being "thrown" on vinyl/hardwood floors, but I have not run into this issue. The powerful suction does not allow the brush to sling debris. It is gone before it has the opportunity. The variety of attachments are stored where they are not in the way to be knocked off or catch on things throughout the house when in use. I have found that the selection of attachments is perfect to accomplish any cleaning task that I may have. Amazing warranty. I highly recommend this vacuum.
Quality bags at a decent price (tho I wouldn't be mad if it dropped even lower).
we use this machine to clean the halls of our nursing home, the mopping pads do a great job.
I was replacing an existing vacuum. The unit was easy to install, very quiet compared to my old vacuum and has plenty of power. I like the fact that it is US made too.
