The Bad News First.

When we started Prolux the vacuum industry had been taken over by huge Chinese corporations who had bought out most of the US's "iconic" vacuum brands.   Which meant 3 things.   

1 - vacuums were mostly no longer designed by USA engineers.

2 - the vacuums were designed to be cheap and only last around 2 years (more profitable for them if they can get you to buy a new vacuum every 2 years).

3-  as a result they do not clean very well either.

The Good News.

At Prolux we don't do a lot of advertising.   We rely on customer word of mouth and reviews.   Instead almost 100% of our profits are reinvested in R&D and new product development.    At Prolux we have won Utah's "Top 100 Fastest Growing Companies" award 5 years in a row!   The fact is we don't grow through marketing gimmicks but great design.    At Prolux our USA Engineers and Vacuum Experts release between 7 and 9 new models of cleaners every year (in addition to all the product improvements we are making to our current designs).   

Our Mission.

With the vacuum industry being taken over by large international corporations (Prolux is one of the worlds only 100% USA owned vacuum companies) there is a lot of work to do!    On average when we release a new model it takes 2 to 3 years of R&D and multiple prototypes and testing before we release it.  Our Mission at Prolux is to change this!  Help us disrupt the current vacuum "scheme" of high profits and low quality and instead bring back quality cleaners into our homes.   

 

What new inventions will Prolux be releasing this year?

So the R&D department in Prolux thought it would be fun to give you a sneak peak into our new inventions we will be releasing this year.   These are items where we have already filed our patents and can now talk about :)   We can't tell you how EXCITED we are to finally get these projects released and into your hands :)

 

New Prolux Power Nozzle

There is a German vacuum tool factory that we just love.   They produce very high end vacuum attachments and 3 years ago we approached them about making a new electric Power Nozzle for us in our line of canister vacuums we were designing.   Both of our company's engineers worked really hard on this new design and yesterday a semi load of the new power nozzles arrived at our Utah factory (to be put with some of our new canisters)!   Compared to current power nozzles on the market they are lighter, deep clean better, and are much more dependable (designed to last many years).

 

The best part though is the brushroll.   The brushroll is easily removed by the user (within seconds) and the belt never wears out.   We designed it to come with 2 brushrolls based on your preference.   Either brushroll will work on hardwood floors or carpet but one brushroll is if you have mostly carpet and the other brushroll is if you have mostly hardwood (your preference on which one you want to use).   Plus it comes with a built in cutting tool to quickly cut out pet hair (or like in my house teenage daughters hair LOL).  

 

Premium USA design vacuum attachments.   Studying our customer's feedback we noticed some frustration around vacuum attachments.    Digging deeper we noticed all the vacuum attachments were international designs and so our R&D department got to work.    We wanted to create premium Prolux USA designed attachments that:

  • Fit all of our Prolux vacuums
  • "Snapped" into place so they would never fall off during cleaning
  • Easily were removed (even by our elderly customers) when needed
  • Were quality and would last many years
  • Cleaned better than the attachments made by other companies.   

 

This is exactly what we did.    We estimate these new attachments will be available In stock early 2023

Prolux Phantom

The Prolux Phantom.    Our next invention is a new premium canister vacuum we are excited about.    5 speed motor (for different levels of suction from dusting to ripping power for deep cleaning) to HEPA filter and HEPA bags.    Most vacuums use a 2 layer paper bag (which is why you have to dust after vacuuming) but this vacuum will come with our new 5 layer HEPA material bags (made from same material at N95 masks).    Other features include:

The Prolux RS7 Stick Vac.   Did you know at Prolux we used to make one of the most popular stick vacs?   Its true, it was called the Prolux Ion and we sold thousands of them.   If it was so popular then  why did we discontinue it?   Because our new RS7 model is WAAYYY better :)
