We have been Riccar upright vac owners for many years. When our last one quit working recently, I headed to the dealer to check out a new one. I was surprised to find the new Riccar models were almost completely made of plastic, including the bottom brush roller plate. I left the store disappointed. As I searched around on line, I came across Prolux. I was impressed with the warranty offered and pictured build quality. Free returns were available, so I decided to give one a shot. We have had the vac for one month and so far it has been excellent! It's enjoyable to use this high quality unit that is solidly built and priced reasonably! Don't hesitate to give Prolux a try.
I have been a user of canister type water vacuums for years now ( other brands) and was time for a new one, although a bit more expensive I decided to buy it anyway and could not be more pleased !! Definitely the most powerful and effective one I’ve ever used, I would absolutely recommend buying it for anyone who wants clean carpet
Started my own cleaning business for real estate investment trusts. Tried several shop vacs and none of them stayed together or worked very well. Then switched to the Prolux backpack. It’s great. Use it everyday. I just make sure to change my bags out when needed. Great vacuum! I will only be using Prolux from here on out.

The instructions were very clear:
Do Not Throw Out The Bag Holder when changing bag to a new one.
I did not realize the plastic piece was essential to my magnificent machine but thought that fine piece of plastic was part of the bag itself, because it was attached to the pre-inserted bag
Sooo, out it went with the used bag. I did not insert a new bag immediately because I was done with enjoying a wonderful vacuum experience with my new toy. Had I done the replacement right away I would have realized the vacuum doesn’t even close without the bag holder inserted, much less run.

Hmm, I wonder if I should re-read the instructions on the car again in case I missed something there as well ! Maybe I do have turn signals and the other cars would stop honking at me when I make lane changes. I’ll check.
