In a home with two dogs and three kids, messes are constant. This machine has finally made it possible to reset our home with each cleaning - absolutely zero dog fur left behind! Our old "cheap" vacuum barely made a difference, but the X8 totally revitalizes our couches, rugs, and floors every time!

I generally love this vacuum this is my second prolux vacuum and it's my favorite. I have cleaning business ☺️ and it's so light weight weight awesome suction as well 😁❤️

First I would like to start this review off with a comment towards the Prolux team. I worked with Anna via email before finalizing a purchase, and she was phenomenal. There was some misunderstandings on my end, but she worked through things with me and got me sorted. As someone who works in customer service as well, Anna thank you for being amazing.

On to the X8 itself. This thing is smaller than I expected, which isn't a bad thing. But it has WAY more power than I realized. I've used several other vacuums, including the standard run of the mill hoover uprights, I've had a Kirby, a Shark Apex, a Rainbow e2 and several shopvacs, and this thing beats them into oblivion with how strong it is. But that's kind of the problem.

I think the X8 would seriously benefit from a Variable Suction control, or a larger suction relief slider on the powered hose than it currently has. I have a fairly plush carpet in my upstairs, and it has so much suction that even with the valve open, it is actually difficult to push the EBK 250 powerhead on my carpet. Props to it for the brushroll being virtually unstoppable even with it sucked into the carpet. It does slow down though, which I fear might cause excessive wear on the motor. The brushroll that the EBK power head comes with also tangles hair fairly quickly, but they give you a convenient tool to keep it clean that stores neatly under the head itself.

Aside from variable suction, the only extra thing I think the X8 would benefit from is another light on the hose handle itself, that way if you're vacuuming crevasses or under desks that are dark, you'd still have a light source.

All in all, this thing is amazing and I'm very happy with my purchase so far. Buy it, you won't regret it.

Don't you just LOVE it when a product you order ends up exceeding your expectations? This Prolux X8 Elite Backpack Canister Vacuum has done exactly that! My husband and I have had countless brands and price points of vacuums over the decades. We both agree that this is the best vacuum either of us have experienced.

This vacuum has great suction! The maximum airflow is 140 CFM, which is very good for a household vacuum. We live in a 120 year old home, have two large Labradoodles and a large cockatoo. All of these things combine to create a ton of dust and whatnot. We have primarily hardwood floors, but our highest traffic area, the living room, has a large area rug that no vacuum before has ever been able to do a good job on. The Prolux X8 Elite made the rug look like new!

All the parts and pieces feel robust, and everything fits together solidly.

The backpack aspect of this vacuum is comfortable and very adjustable. The minimal weight is appropriately distributed, making it easy to maneuver, even on steep, narrow stairs. It honestly makes vacuuming effortless.

There are so many extra conveniences to mention, too:
* The 50' power cord
* That the wand telescopes instead of requiring the addition/subtraction of sections
* The ridiculous ease of removal and cleaning of the beater bar
* The little slicer tool for the beater bar that stores right on the powerhead

This vacuum has performed above expectations on every task we have put it to. My husband and I both highly recommend this product and feel it's a good value!
