we use this machine to clean the halls of our nursing home, the mopping pads do a great job.
I was replacing an existing vacuum. The unit was easy to install, very quiet compared to my old vacuum and has plenty of power. I like the fact that it is US made too.
I purchased this unit a little over 3 years ago and it is beyond awesome in performance. Powerful and reliable up until a few weeks ago I started to have an issue, so I reached out to the company to purchase a new bag. The company got back to me immediately and shipped a replacement bag however replacing the bag did little to help. The motor continued to get louder and the suction continued to decrease. Again, I reached out to the company to ask for help, within hours I received a very nice response along with a prepaid return label. While removing the unit from the mount to get ready for return I realized lint and dust had completely clogged the motor intake grill located in the top part of the dirt collection compartment. It took me a few minutes to completely clear the clog and the unit was back to 100%!!If I had to guess, the issue started months prior when the original bag either shifted (or more likely I seated it improperly) which allowed a small amount of dust to bypass the bag with each use.The moral of the story, sometimes a great company sells an inferior product and sometimes an inferior company sells a great product. Very rarely do you get a great company that sells a great product... this is one of those scenarios. If you are on the fence deciding whether to purchase... pull the trigger you will not be disappointed now or years from now.Big thanks to Great Vac/ Prolux for designing and manufacturing such a great product and standing behind it years after purchase.
Very easy to install. Great suction.
I purchased this from Prolux directly. Communication and shipping were as expected and well-performed. The only thing I did wrong was miss using the special offer code(s) for the hose cover, so look for the offers and use them.I have a two-story home with seven outlets. The vacuum plumbing was installed in 2006, and the contractor did a good job installing those bits. The original vacuum equipment was horrible (loud, and it ejected dust into the garage), which is why I replaced it with the Prolux CV12000.My wife recently cleaned our car using the garage hose while the interior hose was inadvertently connected at the same time. She had no problems whatsoever, even with reduced suction. It did work a lot better when I was able to disconnect the interior hose. :-)I would purchase this product again; highly recommended.
